Welcome to Friends of Midtown transition website

Over the past several months, Friends of Midtown has been undergoing transition as we try to rejuvenate. This interim website is part of that transition. While construction of a new website is ongoing, this interim site is meant to be an easier and quicker way to communicate with our membership and the greater Harrisburg midtown community.

City Requesting Comments on Draft Zoning Code by March 1

The Harrisburg Department of Building & Housing Development Planning Bureau is requesting that any comments on the draft zoning code be submitted by Monday March 1.

Additional Midtown Permit Parking Proposed

At the January 12 City Council Legislative session, the following bill had its first reading:
Bill 3-2010 – An Ordinance amending Chapter 3-139 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Harrisburg to extend and define the boundaries of the “Paxtang Manor Zone,” and to designate as Residential Permit Parking only the following streets:
