What's Your Area of Interest?
Friends of Midtown has five dynamic committees making a difference in our community -- all of which are very tightly integrated toward fulfilling our mission. We encourage you to become a member of Friends of Midtown today and get involved in one of these groups!
Beautification
The Beautification Committee is focused on spearheading "clean and green" programs in Midtown, from block clean-ups, to plantings, signage and much more. Together we can create a sustained impact on improving our urban landscape!

Citizen Safety
Friends of Midtown seeks to contribute to safer, crime-free neighborhoods through a variety of grassroots programs and initiatives. The goals of the Citizen Safety Committee are to facilitate networking among neighborhood watch groups, form action groups in conjunction with other agencies and to promote a positive, community-centered balance between trust and enhanced communication amongst citizens.

Events
Neighborhood revitalization is a fun and inspiring thing -- this mantra is what drives the Events Committee. Whether it's events that celebrate the Arts (Paint Midtown or Nu Jazz Tuesdayz), or creative fundraisers (62 Artists Do Lunch), we enhance the cultural life of the neighborhood as an enjoyable place to live or visit!

Business
A community where small business can thrive is a healthy community. The Business Committee seeks to promote a vibrant, diverse neighborhood by supporting existing businesses as well as helping attract many new ones to Midtown. This is a grassroots effort to help create a critical mass of shops, galleries, cafe's and services to meet the needs of our diverse community!

Communications
As Friends of Midtown continues to grow, so do the needs for greater outreach! The Communications Committee is a group of writers, designers and networkers who put their creative talents together in our newsletters, website and media relations.
