Friends of Midtown is again helping bring the Arts to Midtown - and for a very good cause. 62 area artists will paint lunchboxes, which will be auctioned off to support Midtown's Salvation Army Kitchen, and Harris Street Church's "Loaves of Love" ministry. "Paint Midtown" a Glowing Success

Community Leaders Discuss Crime & Safety in Midtown
On July 6th, about 40 people gathered at the UMC Neighborhood Center to discuss the issues of crime prevention and safety in Midtown Harrisburg. The public forum's guest speakers included Mr. Oscar Douglas, Harrisburg City's Community Policing Coordinator; uniformed police officers whom patrol Midtown; Lori Kint, Genevieve Fitzpatrick and Jan Carson, three local neighborhood watch group leaders.

Friends of Midtown Forum Draws Large Resident Participation
The Friends of Midtown Community Forum held last evening at the Harrisburg Historical Association. An open and lively exchange amongst the group identified several ares of concern, and provided a mechanism for residents to get involved.
